A comfortable boat for 4 people. - From the rear deck (fitted with guard
rails for safety) one enters the open plan dining area. The large table
can be lowered to convert to a double berth. This can be left made up as a
bed, as a freestanding table is supplied in the front cabin for an
alternative dining area.
Next is the galley, with full sized cooker, electric fridge and sink unit.
Hot water is supplied from a cylinder heated by the engine, assisted by
the diesel central heating boiler.
The next compartment contains the flushing pumpout toilet, an integral
shower and washbasin with vanity mirror. Adjacent to this on either side
are wardrobes and drawers. Doors can be closed across to separate front
and rear sleeping areas.
The front compartment comprises two single settee berths that can be made
into a double if required. A free standing table is also provided. A front
door gives access to the front deck which has seats. Four folding chairs
are provided for alfresco seating.

The name: - MYRDDIN (mur'thin) A name by which
Merlin was known in early Welsh legend. It is best known as the name of
the magician in Arthurian legend.

Entry from the front of the boat is through double glazed doors for good forward vision, into the main cabin with a seat each side, which at night converts to two singles or a double bed. A table mounted on floor pillars is provided to make this into the dining area.
Next is the galley, with full sized cooker, electric fridge and sink unit.
Hot water is supplied from a cylinder heated by the engine, assisted by
the diesel central heating boiler. On the opposite side are cupboards, shelves and an enclosed efficient coal stove. At the rear of the galley, sliding doors separate the cabins at night.
The middle cabin contains a pair of two tier bunks. The top one may be hinged down to form a settee. Opposite is a wardrobe and washbasin with drawers under.
The next compartment contains the flushing pump-out toilet, shower and wash basin with vanity mirror.
The rear cabin contains a berth that can be used either as a single or double bed and has the advantage that it can be left made up if desired. Opposite are a useful range of shelves, a radiator and wardrobe.

Shadowfax and Snowmane - NEW FOR

The name: - comes from Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings" -
Shadowfax was the steed of Gandolf and was the chief of the magnificent
breed of horses known as the mearas. He was a beautiful horse, in the
daylight his coat appeared silver, while at night it was a shadowy grey
that made him nearly invisible in the dark.
Start: Saturday morning
at 10.00 a.m.. Vacated by 5.00 p.m. Friday evening
6 berth steel narrowboat. Length 60 ft. Beam 6'10". Tiller steering.
Yanmar/Barrus diesel engine. Semi-trad rear deck with safely enclosed
seating area.
Hot & cold water. Shower bath. Electric Lights & fridge. Calor gas cooking.
2 pumpout toilets. Colour TV. Radio/CD player. Hairdryer. 230v electric
sockets. Diesel fired central heating.
A very comfortable (4 star standard) boat for 6 people. From the 'semi-trad'
rear deck, with enclosed seating, the boat is entered through central rear
doors that lead directly into the galley. This is provided with a modern
stainless steel sink, full size cooker, electric fridge, generous worktops
and cupboards. This room is open plan to the Dinette/double berth. All
berths are 6'6" in length.
The next room, leading off a side corridor, is the toilet and shower room.
This is equipped with a modern macerator toilet discharging to a remote
holding tank, a stand-up or sit-down shower bath, and a wash basin. All
hot water is supplied from a cylinder heated by the engine, backed up by a
very efficient diesel fired central heating system.
The remainder of the cabin space is occupied by 2 rooms each containing 1
double berth, which can be split into 2 single berths. Storage boxes are
provided underneath. There are wardrobes and drawers accessible from each
room. A second toilet compartment with wash basin separates the cabins. An
extra table and a couple of folding chairs are also provided. Glazed front
doors give access to the open from deck.
